While it’s great to get in shape and to be active, we also want people to join us in advocating for inclusion and equality. By focusing on people’s abilities, we open up a world of possabilities for adults with disabilities. October is National Employment for People With Disabilities Awareness Month, so Prospectus Berco is dedicating the funds raised through the Harmony Challenge to expand its Vocational Program to include a Competitive Employment Division to help individuals find and maintain employment in the community.

Our family moved to PA about 5 years ago after I retired from the U.S. Air Force. My wife is an OB/GYN doctor at Reading Hospital. My oldest son is enlisted in the Air Force and stationed at Nellis AFB in Nevada. Christian, my youngest son, has Down Syndrome and works at Prospectus Berco. Since coming to PA, I lead a mission team for Westlawn United Methodist Church that builds wheelchair ramps and installs assistive devices for elderly and disabled people. I also sit on the advisory board for Prospectus Berco. I love helping the community with the talents God has given me.

    Great Picture!
John is a great asset to Prospectus Berco and we are fortunate to have him as a part of our team. His son Christian is great joy to have in our Vocational Program. Thank you for helping us raise these important funds!
