Together… Making a Difference!
Our Annual Fund Campaign kicked off in November of 2010 and is still in progress. Thank you to all of our past and present supporters. Government funding covers our basic operational costs, but the wish list continues to grow as we identify needed enhancements to improve our facilities, programs, and the lives of the people we serve. If you have not received your appeal letter or misplaced the information, a return envelope will be enclosed in the next Developments newsletter.

Memorial/Honorarium Leaves
As part of our Capital Campaign in the foyer of our Main Entrance, we built a Memorial/Honorarium Wall with engraved bricks and a serene mural painted by artist Michael Miller. We have had inquiries about adding memorials or honorariums. Although we cannot add more bricks, we do have a solution.
Dan Schlenker, Residential Program Supervisor, is an artist at Hilltop Studios. With studio owner Bev Leviner they have created clay leaves which can be engraved and glazed to place at various locations on the wall. The oak leaves are from our property and have space for two lines with a maximum of 20 characters per line. While the minimum cost of a memorial or honorarium leaf is $100, the same price charged for a brick, charitable donations in excess of that amount are gratefully accepted.
If at any time now or in the future, you are interested in a leaf, please contact Sue Stalnecker at sstalnecker@prospectusberco.org or at 610.372.4637, ext. 103 or click here to download an order form.
MISSION STATEMENT
Prospectus Berco is dedicated to inspiring people with disabilities or other special needs to lead meaningful lives by providing innovative services that promote dignity and respect.
Berks County is filled with caring and compassionate individuals who want to support and uplift those who need help. How a community treats individuals who face obstacles in their lives and have difficulty with day to day activities is a reflection of the people who live there.
Giving of ourselves, our time, and our resources is a personal decision. Our reasons to give to a non-profit organization may be because we believe in the organization; are passionate about the service they provide; or know that our help is needed in order for the agency to achieve its mission.
All of us strive to lead meaningful lives with purpose and dignity. The individuals at Prospectus Berco with whom we have the privilege of working face more obstacles than most of us will ever know. With your help and support, they can lead meaningful lives that promote dignity and respect.
