WE WEATHERED THE STORM!
FALL EDITION 2011
On Monday, July 25, the day began with sunshine and a light breeze. After registering the golfers and serving lunch, however, the skies changed. Lightning and thunder ensued, and by 1:00 p.m. rain and wind followed. Moselem Springs Golf Club was hit with a violent thunderstorm with many golf holes under water and debris strewn over the course. By 2:00 p.m., the Golf Club announced that the course was unplayable. The club also closed the following day due to the extent of the weather damage to the course.
Everyone involved was disappointed, but the golfers were good sports as they were issued vouchers to play a round of golf during the 2011 season. They took the cancellation in stride, and we are thankful for their kind hearts and good natured dispositions.
Sponsors are a major component of any golf tournament, and our sponsors were instrumental in our achieving a net profit of more than $38,000. We do not know what we would do without the companies listed below and ask that you remember them when you have consumer needs.
