A welcome addition to our Board is newly elected member, Madelyn Fudeman, Esq.  As a shareholder of the law firm of Essig, Valeriano & Fudeman, she practices primarily in the areas of real estate, zoning and land use, commercial transactions, and wills and trusts.  Having received her B.A. in Political Science and Communications at the University of Miami, Ms. Fudeman attended Finch College in New York City, the University of Miami, and the University of Miami School of Law (J.D. 1988).  From 1989 through 1992, she held the interesting position of Assistant State Attorney to Janet Reno in the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida.  Having settled in Berks County, Ms. Fudeman has been serving as the Mediator and Arbitrator of the Berks County Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee since 1997, and, for the past ten years, as its chairperson.  A founding member of Mary’s Shelter and the Berks Equine Council, we look forward to her participation at Prospectus Berco.

David Gemmell has also joined our Board and is currently the Controller of the Reading Eagle Company, publisher of the Reading Eagle newspaper, parent corporation of WEEU Broadcasting, and the Commercial Printing division.  With over 25 years financial management experience in the manufacturing and financial services sectors, Mr. Gemmell graduated from Kutztown University with a bachelor of business administration and from University of Pittsburgh with a graduate degree in economics.  Serving on the Board of the Humane Society of Berks County and a volunteer for the Berks Jazz Fest, David still finds time to enjoy music, travel, biking and fly fishing with his wife Lynn.

Peter Pellicano is the officer/owner of Milroy Enterprises, Inc., T/A Graffius Burial Vaults.  Born in Queens, New York and having lived in Long Island and New Jersey, Peter eventually settled in Berks County.    A graduate of Wyomissing Area High School and Villanova University, Mr. Pellicano started working for Graffius Burial Vaults in September of 1989.  Active in his community, Peter has served on the board of the Wyomissing Area Soccer Club and the Wyomissing Area Basketball Club and is currently on the board of the Wyomissing Area High School All Sports Award Committee.  Peter enjoys boating, fishing, golf, mountain biking, and eating!  We are glad you made the move to Berks County and welcome aboard.

Last but not least is newest Board member Lynn Veach.  Vice President and local Trust Administration Manager at M&T Bank, Mr. Veach oversees the administration, investment, and marketing functions for personal, employee benefits, and institutional capital management, and trust services.  Lynn studied at Penn State University and is a graduate of the College for Financial Planning as well as the Canon School for Trust.  A member of the Berks County Estate Planning Council, he also serves on the board of Berks Community Television and serves on the Hero’s Breakfast Committee for the American Red Cross.  We are pleased that he has joined our Board and look forward to his involvement.
